Do the thinking: On a piece of paper if you like.
Keep it simple but interesting.
* Write down 5 words that describe you. (use the personality test if you need to).
*Think about colour. The colours we use change the message of the image.Here’s a quick break-down:
Red: energetic, sexy, bold
Orange: creative, friendly, youthful
Yellow: sunny, inventive, optimism
Green: growth, organic, instructional
Blue: professional, medical, tranquil, trustworthy
Purple: spiritual, wise, evocative, luxurious
Black: credible and powerful
White: simple, clean, pure
Pink: fun and flirty or delicate and feminine
Brown: rural, historical, steady
*Think about a name. are you going to use your real name or one you made up? First/Last/Middle/Initials?
Logo Type/Font choice- Not all logo's have to have the company name in them, but your company needs to be well established before people will recognize your picture (aka logo mark) without the name of your company.
For this project you will need to include your name. Go search through gimp fonts to see if you can find one that seems to match you or the 5 words you are using to describe you.
Logo Mark/Picture. Needs to represent what you are trying to say about yourself. A Logo is a visual message. Keep it simple but interesting.

/15 Is your logo: Original- Was time and effort put into making it unique? Personalized- Is it clear how your logo represents you? Colour Theory should come into play for this. Scalable- Does your design still work when made into a significantly smaller size? Does it work in colour and black and white? So evidence with final project. /15 Does your logo have: More than just clip art- did you make any/all of your design yourself or is just a bunch of copied bits from google. Graphic Art Concepts- Is there any use of the concepts that we have been talking about for the last several weeks. Variations or Gestalt Theory Time and Love- Is it cool enough that you are proud to use it to represent your art. You need to pass in: Your final design- Large/Small/black&white A one page explanation of your choices. What is the concept behind your logo? Colour Choice? Gestalt Principles or variations?
